What does a Period Positive Workplace volunteer do?

Volunteers within the Period Positive Workplace initiative will play a pivotal role in advancing menstrual equity and promoting inclusive, gender-equitable workplaces through the Period Positive Workplace initiative. Your efforts will focus on recruiting new Period Positive Workplaces and amplifying the message of the iniative.

Potential Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with small, medium, or large businesses that have the potential to become Period Positive Workplaces.

  • Utilize your personal and professional network, along with provided volunteer resources, to connect with potential PPWs.

  • Effectively communicate the benefits and implementation resources of the PPW initiative to prospective organizations.

  • Encourage prospective PPWs to complete the three required steps for certification and assist them in the process as needed.

  • Maintain clear records of your efforts and interactions with businesses.

How do I become a volunteer?

If you are interested in contributing your time and skills to expand this important initiative, please follow the volunteer onboarding process with either The Policy Project or Days for Girls. Please complete only one of the volunteer applications.

We suggest choosing the organization you are most familiar with, as you will be contributing to the same meaningful work regardless of which one you select.
